This year, 2013, the Chokgyur Lingpa Foundation will be hosting two Sadhana Ritual courses: Zabtik Drolma, The Profound Essence of Tara, and Trinley Nyingpo, the Essential Activity.

Aim
The aim of the courses is to provide students with an opportunity to learn in detail about both the meaning and practical aspects of Vajrayana ritual practice.

Content
During the courses, students will be instructed on the meaning of Vajrayana practice in general and the visualization stages of the particular sadhanas in particular. Students will also be taught the different melodies and mudras for the practice; how to make the related tormas; play the vajra and bell, how to act as the shrine master and chant master, and in the case of the Trinley Nyingpo how to play the damaru and drum and how to perform the feast offering.

Teaching

The teachings will be given in Tibetan by senior monks and nuns from Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery and Nagi Gonpa and translated into English.

Classes for each course will be held for approximately four hours a day, six days a week, and in addition all participants will also have the chance to perform the practices together each day.

At the beginning of the courses, His Eminence Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche will kindly bestow upon all participants the necessary empowerments and oral transmissions.

Note about schedule: the two courses will be scheduled so that there is no overlap and it is possible to attend both courses.

Materials
All necessary practice texts will be provided as part of the courses.

Cost
Zabtik Drolma: USD160 (Concession rate of USD60 for ordained sangha)

Trinley Nyingpo: USD470 (Concession rate of USD120 for ordained sangha)

All costs inclusive of food and dormitory-style lodging at Nagi Gonpa, and transport back and forth from Boudhanath.
